Whangarei Instability Areas

The instability data has been collected over many years from actual evidence of slips,terracettes,slumps, etc and from anedotal reports. Recently , Tonkin &Taylor have been used as consultants to review, analyze and report on the existing and adjacent areas. The GIS layers were based on aerial photography analysis and field work but may have generalizations in some areas. This does not replace onsite field work, investigation and best engineering practice for specific projects.
