NZ South Island Yard Grid
The NZ North Island and South Island Yard Grids are Transverse Mercator Projections.
They were superceded around 1980 by the New Zealand Map Grid which in turn has been superceded by New Zealand Transverse Mercator. But some people still have historic maps and other records in yard coordinates.
