Request Access Groups

Request Access Groups and Find Permissions

We are in the final stages of preparing our 'Request Access' feature. This lets a publisher or owner of data collect layers into a group, name it, and host it on their web portal.

Users must request access to that group to get access to those layers, with that request being approved/denied by your admins.

The Find Permission feature means the title and description of a dataset can be found, but a user can't preview it, export it, or access it via API. Without Find Permission, it's not possible for a user to find the title of the dataset without first being a member of its access group.

Combining these features makes data searchable, but not initially viewable by your users. Those users will then be able to find, see details of, and request access to the data. This triggers an authorization process. With these permissions in place, you will be able to further control and measure discoverability of your data.
