From 6-14 May, we’re celebrating Techweek in Aotearoa. There’s a fantastic range of events, from “Future Realities” Hackathons about AR/VR in Auckland and Wellington, to panels about inequality and exponential technology — all aimed at “tackling global issues with local ingenuity.”

We’re particularly excited about the ‘Talk Geospatial’ breakfast series, which is taking place in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Organised by SIBA, the series features Sean Audain, Innovation Officer Wellington City Council; Dr Sara McBride, GeoNet Information Team Leader; and our own Head of Design, Dan Newman.

Drawing from his experience leading the design efforts at Koordinates, Dan will talk about the importance of good design to getting data reused.

A big thanks to our friends at SIBA for putting this together. All three talks are free and you can register for them at the links below. We hope to see you there!
