Abstract
A subset of the NationalMap dataset consisting of Riverbeds represented by polygons to display true river width, derived by NationalMap from paper Topographic maps. Greater detail in City areas where applicable. Due to large braided stream networks, a river can often be seen as significantly less than its bed, in the dry season some tracks are located on river beds, these indicate the extent of the river at full capacity.
Purpose
This layer, being a subset of NationalMap Base layers, is to ease map creation and facilitate contextual and analytic mapping tasks.
