These facilities are of interest for the amount of hazardous waste and used oil that might be stored or staged at them during a natural disaster. Locations are provided to assess potential threat of release or contamination during follow-up to disasters such as hurricanes.

Statewide coverage of hazardous waste and used oil facilities that might be considered as potential threats for release during a natural disaster such as hurricane. The coverage includes Treatment, Storage, and Disposal facilities (TSDs) that are permitted to manage hazardous waste; hazardous waste transfer facilities where hazardous waste may be stored or staged for up to 10 days; used oil transfer facilities where used oil may be stored or staged for up to 35 days; and large quantity generators (LQGs) of hazardous waste that generate more than 1000kg of hazardous waste in any one month and may store their hazardous waste for up to 90 days.
