Glacier National Park - Administration/Boundaries - GMP Management Areas

US National Park Service
  • Added 28 Sep 2016

This dataset contains the management areas defined in the 1999 Glacier National Park General Management Plan (GMP). These boundaries follow drainage divides and existing infrastructure where applicable. Six management areas were delineated: North Fork, Goat Haunt, Many Glacier, Two Medicine, Middle Fork, and Going-to-the-Sun-Road. These management areas were developed to facilitate developing geographic area-specific management objectives to guide park management for the ensuing twenty year period, as described in the GMP.
