The Agricultural Preservation Districts are properties enrolled in the Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation program. Qualifying parcels are designated as either a District (200 acres or more) or an Expansion (less than 200 acres) to a district. These properties are preserved from development for 10 years with the option to renew. If the owner sells the property's Development Rights to the State, the area is then designated as an Easement, indicating that the area is permanently preserved.
